Kelly Clarkson has been a singer and songwriter in America for more than 20 years. She was crowned American Idol during the first season. The singer was not just ushered into stardom by her win and announcing an agreement to record multiple albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & 'S Records. Since her debut, she released numerous albums. From those, three were ranked first on the US Billboard 200. The others were close to the top spot. She has been one of America's top performers. To be successful she experimented with different genres of music and experimented with topics. Because of her distinctiveness and talent as a performer and songwriter, she received praise from critics and won a few important awards. In particular, she has won the Grammy Award a record three times. Aside from her career in the field of music, she has also seen on TV and in film. She also wrote the kids' book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved with various charitable organizations.
