Lisa Edelstein was an American actress who is best known for her role as the main character of Fox's House medical series. She grew up in Wayne where she was a part of a traditional Jewish tradition. As a teenager, 18 she moved to New York City to study at the Tisch School of the Arts. The school quickly became a fixture in the scene of clubs in New York. Her performances were so good that even the local press took note. Then, she used her experiences as well as her celebrity to write and compose an musical entitled Positive Me which she starred. In the following year, she was hired by MTV to present Awake on the Wild Side. When it ended up going off the air, she was able to appear in television and film productions, initially in short roles and gradually established herself as an actor.
